What does Photo Privacy Scan do?

It finds hidden information in your photos — like GPS location, capture time, device details, and visible text such as phone numbers or emails — and lets you remove or cover it before you share. Everything happens on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Do my photos leave my phone?

No. All scanning and editing happen entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded or sent to any server.

What is "hidden data" in a photo?

Most photos store extra information called metadata — the GPS location where it was taken, the date and time, and your device and camera model. Photos can also contain visible text like names, phone numbers, emails, or QR codes. Photo Privacy Scan helps you find and remove it.

Does removing data change my original photo?

No. The App creates a clean copy and exports that. Your original photo stays untouched in your library.

How do I blur a face or cover text?

After scanning, tap Continue to Editor. Select any area and choose Pixelate, Blur, a solid cover, or a sticker. You can also draw freely. Tap Next to export.

Can I clean several photos at once?

Yes. On the home screen tap Batch Clean and select up to 9 photos. You can remove metadata, auto-cover faces, and convert format for all of them at once, then save or share.

Why do I see ads?

Ads keep the App free to use. You can choose non-personalized ads by declining the tracking prompt, and you can reopen the ad privacy options in Settings → Privacy Settings.

Do I need to allow notifications or tracking?

No. Declining either one does not disable any feature of the App. They are entirely optional.

How do I change the app language?

Go to Settings → Language inside the App and pick from the available languages.

How do I delete my data?

Your saved projects live only on your device. Deleting the App removes them completely.
